Michael Vaughan missing – Concerns keep rising for missing Michael Vaughan missing 5-year-old Fruitland boy

The family of Michael Vaughan, have been distressed about the disappearance of their 5-year-old boy, and have done all they can to find him to no avail. A 115 days long search has been conducted but fruitless as he still remains missing with no trail. According to the Fruitland’s police chief the 5-year-old was last seen on July 27.

Police have been solidly on the case as it is still a top priority to them. Sources say Michael’s mother, Brandi Neal joined Fruitland Police Chief J.D. Huff for a media briefing, on Thursday, where she spoke on behalf of the family. We can only imagine the emotional stress the family is passing through at this time. Neal said,  “Please keep Michael’s face, his name and his story in every one of your hearts, your eyes and your minds. It has been 115 days, 115 days – he has not been home. We need every one of you, I need you, I need your help to bring my baby home,” I need you to know how much Michael is loved. I need you to know how much he is missed. Our family is broken without him.”

The search for Michael Vaughan

We gathered that the search for Vaughan, has been intensified as the reward for information leading to Michael’s safe return has increased to $50,100, and is available until March 31, 2022. This shows that the police will work on the case effortlessly, to make sure he is found. Since Vaughan was reported missing on July 27, Officers have been following necessary leads from all over Huff said 557 tips have been received from “literally around the globe.”

Huff added that, “Several tips have borne fruit, but they just don’t go anywhere.” According to Huff the search areas include the front and back yards of “nearly all the homes on Southwest 9th,” as well as farmland near SW 9th, and another large plot of land between Nevada Avenue and U.S. Highway 95. Over 1000 acres have been searched around the area he disappeared.

Officers are deeply concerned and can’t help but follow up the case with all they have. “Why would we continue to search areas that we have searched multiple times before? Well, because we haven’t found Michael yet and conditions change,” Huff said. “So further, you can imagine going home every night as a law enforcement officer wondering, ‘Did we miss something during that search?'”

Fruitland Police seek help for missing 5-year-old Michael Vaughan

Police have exhausted the leads they have so far and are still pleading with the public to keep helping in the search. They are still asking for help to identify the driver of a white Honda Pilot seen leaving the area of SW 8th Street at around 6:47 p.m. on July 27. This was the same day, Vaughan went missing. This is a possible case of abduction, but no suspects yet. They also are looking to identify a man with dark hair, wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts seen walking in that area around the same time. According to Huff, they may know something  that could help in the case. “They may have seen something. We just don’t know what that is until we talk to ’em,” Huff said.
